WHAMmobile, a Houston-based, mobile-marketing and technology firm, is working with Clear Channel Outdoor to add an interactive mobile component to OOH campaigns.
Whammobile’s outdoor-advertising system integrates a keyword and short code to billboard campaigns, which allow consumers to text for additional product information. Clients can measure ROI from reports that reveal the number of consumers who sent text messages from the campaign.
Clear Channel Outdoor piloted the program in Boston, Houston and Dallas with such companies as Cirque du Soleil, Firestone, Incredible Pizza Co. and Texas Christian University. The campaigns promoted job opportunities, coupon offerings, educational advancement and events.
Clients receive reports that provide real-time statistics and inquiries’ contact details. This information allows clients to engage prospects with personalized communication about products and services.
Two other Whammobile clients, Lowen Corp. and Lowen Sign Co., are two sister companies that specialize in large-format signage and real-estate signs respectively. They added a mobile component to their real-estate signage and fleet graphics that adds tracking and ROI measurement to clients’ displays and shipping-fleet ads.
Lowen Sign Co. has integrated WHAMmobile’s real-estate product service into their signage. Realtors connect with wireless subscribers, who can text the code printed on the real-estate signs and view the home’s features, in text and in images. They can also link to other listings. Also, realtors receive real-time statistics and contact information.
